Pre-Conference Workshop Description
Healing with HeArts is an interactive workshop using facilitated dialogue, spiritual practices, guided imagery, and art to help participants activate the artist and healer within.  Harnessing heart science as the source of our creativity, the integration of the philosophical, ethical, and healing constructs of Caring Science with the proven, research-based tools and practices of HeartMath are put into immediate application to express your own creativity using art (visual arts, music, dance and word) as effective tools to address what you need to heal in your life, others, community and the earth —physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. 

Program Learning Outcomes

  1. Deepen knowledge and awareness of the philosophy, ethic and practice of Caring Science
  2. Apply HeartMath research and tools within a context of Caring Science
  3. Apply Healing Arts research, creative tools, and spiritual practices to activate the artist and healer within
  4. Create healing environments for self and others utilizing increased personal resilience and energy levels
  5. Assess for diminished symptoms of personal and professional stress such as confusion fatigue and sleep disturbance

Target Audience 
Nurses and health care professional of clinical and educational systems and/or selected individuals who are advancing the education, professional practice and research of Caring Science/Human Caring Theory through their respective role and activities in USA and internationally.
